A document is counted when you send it. Uploading a PDF, placing fields and abandoning a draft cost nothing. The month is the calendar month, in UTC.

Questions about paying
What counts as a document?
One document is one envelope, counted at the moment you send it. Uploading a PDF, placing fields, adding signers and then abandoning the draft all cost nothing. Sending the same document to five signers is one document, not five.
What happens when I run out?
Sending refuses, and it says so plainly: which plan you are on, how many you have sent and when the allowance resets. The envelope goes back to being a draft with everything still on it. Nothing you have already sent is affected, and no signing link stops working.
When does the month reset?
On the first of the calendar month, in UTC. It does not carry over, so an unused allowance does not build up.
Is the allowance mine or my team's?
The workspace's. Everyone in a workspace sees every document in it, and the month's documents come out of one allowance rather than one each.
What is the Sign Here mark?
A line on the Certificate of Completion saying the document was signed with Sign Here. It is on the free plan's certificate and on no paid plan's. It never appears on the signed document itself, on either plan.
What happens to my documents if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted. The account returns to the free plan and keeps every document it has already sent: the signed PDF, the audit trail, the seal and the certificate all stay where they are, and a signing link already sitting in somebody's inbox keeps working.
Do you add VAT?
No. The amount on this page is the amount charged.
Why am I seeing euros?
Prices are set for each market rather than converted, so the number is a round one somebody chose. Five currencies have their own price and everywhere else pays in euros. A rate that moves daily would land you on 9.47.
Do you have templates?
Yes. A template keeps the PDF, the roles and every field where you placed it, so starting the next document leaves you typing a name and an address per role. A role is a label such as Tenant, never a saved person. The free plan keeps 1, Solo keeps 5, and Business keeps as many as you like.
Do you have an API?
Not yet. It is not built, so it is not sold, and you will not find it hidden behind a plan on this page. It is on the list.
Everyone in a workspace sees every document in it, and the month’s documents come out of one allowance rather than one each. If a plan change leaves more people than seats, nobody loses access to anything: the members without a seat keep reading and stop sending until a seat frees up.
